125 MILES

Welcome to Colorado’s San Juan Stage Race!
San Juan Stage Racing is pleased to present the 2009 Colorado San Juan Stage Race, a 125 mile dog sled race that follows the format of Wyoming’s International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race and Montana’s Seeley Stage Race.  These races provide an excellent venue for distance racers and mushing fans and previous races have brought mushers from across the continental United States and Canada.  The 2009 race will showcase the beauty of the region starting in Dolores, Colorado and traveling to Mancos, Durango, and Silverton.  There will be four days of racing along the San Juan Skyway.  The focus of the race is to boost tourism, produce an annual world class event, and bring mushing to the Four Corners.  Additionally, this event will have a fund raising component to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation which is near and dear to our hearts.
